Cleanouts, mulch, weeding
Landscaping
Yard cleanouts, leaf removal, mulching, weeding, tree trimming and gutter cleaning.
Chapter 01
A cleanout takes the yard back to bare ground
A yard cleanout is the job that happens when the leaves, sticks and overgrowth have outrun the weekend. Hall Son's clears them from the beds, the lawn edges and the slopes, pulls the weeds, and hauls it all away so nothing is left stacked at the curb. The photo on this page is a wooded backyard slope, shown before and after a leaf cleanout.
Slopes are the slow part. Leaves pack into the low side of a bed and smother whatever is growing underneath, so they come out by hand and rake from the top down, which keeps loose debris from sliding back over ground that is already clean. That work is done in Woodbridge, Lorton and across Northern Virginia.

Mulch, trimming and the upkeep between
Once a bed is clean it is ready for mulch. A fresh layer settles the colour, holds moisture and slows the next round of weeds, and it looks best laid against a clean edge instead of over last year's debris. Tree trimming takes back limbs that crowd the roof, the gutters or the walk, and ongoing maintenance keeps the whole yard from drifting back to cleanout state.
Gutter cleaning belongs on the same list. Leaves that came off the trees end up in the gutters, so the yard and the roofline get cleared on the same visit, and water has somewhere to go when it rains.
Chapter 03
Fall for the leaves, spring for the weeds
The year splits into two main jobs. Fall is leaf removal and the cleanout, once the trees have dropped most of what they are going to drop, with the gutters last of all. Spring is weeding and mulch, when beds wake up and the weeds get a head start on everything else.
In between, maintenance visits stay light because the heavy lifting is already done. Every job starts with a FREE Estimate. Call or text 571-336-2395, or send the details through the contact form.

Weeding
Weeds out to the edging, rock left clean

Drag the line. On the left, a river-rock bed by the screen porch, grass and weeds grown up through the stone and around a green planter. On the right, the same bed weeded clean, the rock showing again right out to the edging.
Weeds in gravel have to come out whole, root and all, or they are back within weeks. The job runs bed edge to bed edge, planter included, so the line where the rock ends is as sharp as the rock itself. It is a quick visit to book and one of the easiest changes to see from the street.
